It is a tool for evaluation able to be used as a
simple development tool for testing LOSA functions.
If you connect the RS-232C port of PC in which a
terminal emulator program such as Linux minicom
or Windows HyperTerminal is stored to the RS-232C
port of the evaluation board and supply electric
power, the booting process is displayed on the terminal
screen and finally a prompt is displayed.
LOSA operates as a Linux machine providing the
same interface as desktop Linux. The user, after
he/she sets up the IP address suitable to his/her
own LAN(The setting example is showed in the operating
manual) can visit the basic home page stored in
LOC by using the provided GCC compiler, or immediately
perform a simple function test after he/she prepares/complies
the same program as "Hello Linux " on
the host PC and stores it in the LOSA using NFS
and implementing it. The user familiar with TCP/IP
or other technology can implement a gateway that
is able to connect the equipment with built-in
RS-232C to Ethernet using only the evaluation
board. |
