protocol. Though materializing this, a real time
O/S(RTOS) is needed but it is still very expensive
because of building a development environment and
license fee etc. and what is more, available RTOS
is unfamiliar to general developers at present therefore
it is necessary to acquire expert level of technology
to develop products that utilize RTOS, and quite
a long time will be spent to acquire a stable O/S
and application software.
Products, which are implementing Embedded Linux
on the basis of PC 104, are large in size and very
expensive. Additionally, it requires another expense
to implement a total system, because users must
purchase it separately and install boards complying
with PC 104 to add necessary circuitry.
Therefore LINUDIX provides an Embedded Linux
platform, chip type CPU module mounted with Linux
for Internet connectivity with you. LOC is ten
times as small (1/4 business card size) as PC
104 based PC, so it is possible to install it
on the smallest area of the board you want to
develop and to implement Embedded Linux-based
Internet connected products at a reasonable price.
